I've been running pre amp for a week 24 hrs a day now. Gues everything has settled down by now. I'm happy with the results! Time for the next step: putting everything in a chassis!
So, i've read the 85 pages during the past day....it was a lot of reading but now i'm confused. Just because i'm a newbie in the diy audio. My question is, if i buy the dac with the discrete, can i connect directly to any amp? what are my limitations? for now i can only buy the dac with discrete, and later the preamp. And if i want to connect my cd player to the dac? isn't a optical connection needed? I assume the new dac will have this...or i am just confused. Thank you, and sorry for my english.
Fantastic Work Sonnya. Congrats

Hi to everyone, i'm finally listening to the dac, what a beautiful sound, greatly better than my old cd transport+dac ( Nortstar 192 ).
The only problem is that the output are inverted, the lef channel connector is in reality the right channel, is it normal or just mine???
A question, is it possible to drive an headphone directly from from the dac output or do i need an amplifier?

Hi Sonny,
Look like I am the only one that can't enjoy your set 🙁
Can you please tell me when you roughly plan to send me the new set?
Thanks and Regards,
Enrico

Are those cases ready to be shipped?
I hope not, let them go through a magnificent front panel treatment first 🙂
Thanks, Sonny, looks great indeed!

Have a good look at the manual. It shows what's left and right.
The ones in red are the channels as signed in the manual, the ones in green are the ones on my board

I just checked mine. Ik think you are right.
I encountered the same "problem" some time ago. I checked with a song I knew which had a certain sound on the left channel. I double checked this on Spotify and swapped channels also...

Hi factory2nd,
It is only inverted on the opamp output module I believe and this can be corrected in software. Just swap the cables inside the chassis, no one but you will notice.. 😀
Did you update to the latest firmware? Maybe it is already fixed in there.
Ciao!
Do
It's finished!
Hi ijscobar,
Who did your front panel, or did you do it yourself? Do you have the CAD or FPE file?
Thanks
Do
