Aegis DIY Tube Headphone Amplifier

When I hook up vintage DACs using buzzy EI transformers, I noticed that the aegis tends to pick up the humming quite a bit and transfers to the headphones, especially dynamic headphones. Has anybody experience that too? Any engineers that could shed light on this?

I'm looking to buy the Aegis PCB boards for a build. I thought posting here instead of posting a WTB ad might get a better response. All my builds so far have been point to point. I don't know anything about Gerber files and don't want to have to get the 5 boards. Surely someone has bought the 5 sets minimum and wouldn't mind recouping some money by selling.

I have some that were built in San Jose, California. The main board has Edge plating on it, and as a result, a little more expensive than the Chinese made ones. If you are interested, please PM me or reply here and I can give you pricing and pictures.

Sincerely,

Greg

a quick update, as of today, 05/27/25, I have three complete sets of Lundahl transformers for the Aegis headphone amp for immediate shipping. As a special, I will waive the 10% tariff, which has been applicable to all imported Lundahl transformers since April, if an order is placed by June 3rd.
This is a diyAudio active member only special, you must be a member of diyAudio for at least 6 months, and yes, I will check 😉
Once these three sets are sold, the 10% tariff will once again apply.
