It's not stated explicitly in the 6DM8/ECL82 data sheets, but usually if the max heater-cathode voltage is rated at 100V DC, it's 200V AC. If so, having the heater supply grounded at 0V should be OK... No?

I certainly have seen some tube data sheets list a "peak" Vhk at double the maximum continuous. Didn't think it was meant to be a regular occurrence though.
Maybe best to run at -50 or something?

Old thread I know. I also recommend tubelab. I've build tubelabes SSE 300B SET, and it is excellent. There is so much documentation, guides and help on the tubelab forum here, you can't go wrong and any problems/questions you get/have, someone will help you until no longer needed, probably the inventor of the amp himself.
