Since I am already into this further than I wanted to be and my son needs something to do other than play video games... 😉

Is there any interest in a 15V PSU parts kit?

I'd make it the same as previously, complete with everything needed for nominal 15V operation and the appropriate resistors if you want to buy trimpots and make your PSU adjustable. We'll jointly decide on heat sinks - most will find 1" sufficient, but some will want more. I haven't checked pricing but it should be somewhere around the same as last time, $23.

How about interest in a ~65V parts kit for Leach amp or similar? This kit would include trimpots to make it adjustable from say 50-70V. (thinking out loud, haven't looked into adjustments required) Pricing would be a bit more than the 15V version due to higher voltage caps and trimpots, probably in the $28 range.

Note that the most I can fit into a standard flat rate envelope is 4 parts kits and their boards. US buyer have the option of going to one of the flat rate boxes for a couple of bucks. There are international flat rate boxes, but they are rather expensive ~$35 will hold a lot but without insurance would you risk a couple hundred dollars?

I'm running a bit behind posting updates to the WIKI, please don't panic if you don't see your name or receive a confirmation from me right away. If paypal says your money was sent, there's a 99.99% chance that I received your order.

So far there are 25 orders for 135 AF4 and 120 PSU.


Re: Europe shipping -

The USPS Priority Mail envelope that we are using for shipping here has proven reliable and quick - only one glitch in 300+ shipments.

I haven't used the new flat rate box. I would assume that it would be similarly reliable, but not as quick and more likely to draw customs attention.

I guess that I am saying is that for 12 PSU kits, I'd suggest going three flat rate envelopes at $11.50 to reduce the risk of losing it all and speed up delivery. Obviously 2 kits and a few AF4 boards would go in a single $11.50 envelope. Maybe 6 extra boards can fit in the envelope with 4 PSU kits.

In case you are wondering, I will order a few spares of everything to cover shipping glitches.

I'm curious - are you waiting to for the PSU parts kits to order?

I've only had a couple of orders in the last three days and over half of the boards requested on the wiki are still unordered. Don't worry, there are enough orders to continue the buy.

If the group wants the buy extended past this Friday to settle the PSU kits, I can accomodate.

The 65V version can deliver up to 500 mA, subject to heat sink limitations. Two Leach channels should be OK as long as you keep the the unregulated voltage under 80 or so.

I'll try to work on pricing tonight, but it is Monday, so my workday might go long.
