So for the large chassis you should order the 10" and the small the 8"? Is that correct?

Actually the Chassis length and width do not change with the hieght. So either 8" or 10" is not a determining factor in large or small chassis.

What does matter is the number of heatsinks you intend to use per side.
2 per side = Large
1 per side = Small

I would be in for the 8" or 10" (preferably 8) and the small basic chassis kit (one heat sink per side? - 158?)

If these kits were priced around 158 each I would purchase at least two kits.

I only need four heat sinks total, but I do want two chassis kits.

Sorry if this is newb, but I'm completely new to this sort of group buy. What kind of time frames should I expect? That's the only piece of information before putting down solid interest 🙂

Well still a little fuzzy as yet it depends on how long it take the GB to reach a critical mass. Still waiting on material avaiability from R-Theta.

On a side note this is the switch I just ordered for my Front Panels.

The units I ordered have a black cap not a red one. The blue ring iluminates in a glowing blue aura.
Contacts rated as 16A @125VAC or 10A @250VAC

Sorry, I'm confused too.

Do you have a rough drawing for the largest possible (2 heat sinks per side, largest profile heat sinks) case layout?

I will make a drawing and post it. In the mean time I refer back to this photo when I give the dimensions.

Dimensions for LARGE Chassis (4 heatsinks required)

Internal Roughly 14" long x 11" Wide x 8" or 10" High
- From the Front plate to back plate is approx 14"
- From one side to the other is approx 11"
- From the bottom of the unit to the top is just under 8" or could be just under 10" with bigger heatsinks

Overall Exterior 14.5" Long x 17" Wide x 8" or 10" High
- From the Front plate to back plate is approx 14.5"
- From one side to the other is approx 17"
- From the bottom of the unit to the top is just overr 8" or could be just over 10" with bigger heatsinks

Dimensions for SMALL Chassis (2 heatsinks required)

Internal Roughly 7" long x 11" Wide x 8" or 10" High
- From the Front plate to back plate is approx 7"
- From one side to the other is approx 11"
- From the bottom of the unit to the top is just under 8" or could be just under 10" with bigger heatsinks

Overall Exterior 7.5" Long x 17" Wide x 8" or 10" High
- From the Front plate to back plate is approx 7.5"
- From one side to the other is approx 17"
- From the bottom of the unit to the top is just overr 8" or could be just over 10" with bigger heatsinks

I am sorry this is not coming across very well.

The dimensions for the SMALL chassis can be adjusted as the ones I have picked may not suit every one. The front to back measurment would be fixed at 7" as that is the width of the heatsink. The hieght of the chassis is fixed by the length of the heatsink.

The dimensions for LARGE chassis ar defined by an imaginary box on a stereo rack 17 x 16 x 12 this allows for the Speaker terminals protruding out the back as well as the side to side and top to bottom aspects of a typical shelf.

One last request... would you be able to add the most current pricing information to your post above Coulomb? That way I can reference just that post to my peeps 🙂

Thanks for everything.. yeah this is looking perfect as long as the dollar amounts mesh 🙂

I will try to add pricing tomorrow when I have more quotes in from R-Theta.
