Ha, Ya that was a cbr600rr. I think 2003 if I recall correctly. I then went to a Yamaha R1. Which I had painted orange black and green. Dave made me these as a momento since I no longer have a bike.

Never mind the veneer split, that was my doing. No other full ranger on that bike 😉 A few in the home though.

Is a CBR600RR similar to a Hurricane? I rode one of those once - it was telepathic responsive in a scary way.

Which MA driver is black?

I have more drivers coming in soon. They will be on the "high end" side. Should I put them through the same process and record 3 more clips as H/I/J/K? Maybe post shorter length lossless FLAC files with whatever I can fit under the 2MB .asc limit.

Visaton B80
Scan Speak 10F/8424
Fostex FF105WK

And debating whether or not to get A7.3

Or is that going to be more trouble than it's worth?

With regards to waiting for the 16th, I think that was just an arbitrarily long time that Mooly put in so that everyone could get a chance to have a go. There is no reason the results cannot be revealed earlier if you think enough have had a go at the poll.

Usually these sorts of polls last a few days before the results are revealed 🙂

CBR1000 - circa '87, but predated a bit by Triumph X-75 (72-73)

Nice bikes makes me smile, and nice of Dave add some art that wake good memories.

My last one was ZX-10F 137 hps and for me a rocket, nowadays F been R thinks stands for racing and >220hps. One advantage the many hps, remember buying warm bread from the bakery was still warm when one got home.

Could the black driver be a EL70.

Know it's easy to say can give lot of work 🙁 but think if changing files quality the older should too, so even as is or new set.

Regarding MA the hobby diy in me mostly like to see and listen brand new A7 paper and or A7.3. But after all that diskussions around CHN and especially because MA closed diy account i think about the fans, therefor changed opinion to if a fan want a MA driver in comparison ok he can send one, i would not press for it as before.

EDIT wow driver E just got 1 vote, that was my second one prefered.

It would be nice to have the A7.3 or CHR70; I would think they're the most appropriate of the MA drivers for this group of drivers to try out since their response goes rather high. And since this is all subjective and not weighed down by measurement talk, there's less to get worked up about. Maybe.

One thing that I have discovered from this is that I'm not with the mainstream!! I thought E was one of the two worst!!

I perhaps should have had a listen on my real system rather than on headphones that I don't really know the FR of. One thing that occurred to me was that if the playback system (of the person evaluating the uploaded tracks) has response anomalies then these may improve, or make worse the respective recorded responses of the drivers that have been recorded!

Tony.

Hey, I'm wondering. Did you guys listen to the clips by the order of A to G, or randomly, or jumping from this to that by interest, or in other ways?

I'm thinking the effect of short term memory when we're doing the comparison.

It could be the case we overrate the latter when it sidesteps the obvious drawback of the previous one, but it's not enough to say which is actually better.
