Extremely fun test! Not sure what we can take home from this afterwards but fun non the less. Imagine what the test would sound like with FIR filters applied to all drivers EQ-ed to the same target. I picked my favourite and voted.
But it's fun already to see people picking different drivers for different reasons.
Edit: my first listening (and vote) was on my arrays... I heard way more noticeable differences on the arrays than on my headphones.

I know that poll results are not possible to hide - so let's just make sure we give drivers a good listen and try to be impartial to votes already cast. One thing about it is that the entertainment value of following this thread has gone up because it is ike watching a horse race or maybe more like watching Survivor?

Related to the expansion of drivers for testing is fact that through the generosity of certain members in this forum, I am pleased to say that the following drivers have been ordered and on their way:
- Visaton B80
- Fostex FF105WK
- Scan Speak 10F
Regarding file size bitrate and format i see in attachments dialog window that dot zip format allow 976,6KB and dot asc allow 1,91MB. This could be a shortcut to up file size by renaming before upload and renaming back again when downloaded. As moderators planet10, wintermute is this a OK shortcut to take for up future sound clips quality when more driver models gets into listening.

Ignore those with golden ears, and no sense of fun anymore. I'm using my work laptop (with *gasp* the built-in soundcard) and crappy ear buds and can tell a difference between all models. I can tell at least enough of a difference to have a favorite (which seems to be the point).

Attached file my poll including shut as what driver belong what letter, taken from my first critical 30 min listening. Some hints had later via PM xrk971 pointed out i realize bigger errors in the matching driver verse letters, present it as was first assumed and have something to think about 🙁.

For those of you who posted txt files per my earlier request, the public poll makes at least the favorites visible so things have been overtaken by events. If you posted a txt file or sent me a PM with your pick, please also vote in the poll, as I see there are several choices in txt files and PM's that's don't seem to be reflected in the current poll.

Hehe yes we talked about it other thread too, it's not that bad as experienced poll comparing opamps just that my try in matching letters to drivers my shut 57% wrong and there goes icon 😱.

Very nice test. I'm intrigued to see which driver is which, I sure know which two I enjoyed the most.
If the system allows bigger files with that extension to be uploaded I don't think that it should be an issue 🙂
It is interesting, I am in the minority with my driver pic (I'm one of the 1's in the poll) Perhaps I should have listened to the original tracks for comparison, but then I guess that would then be an excercise in deciding which was more accurate, as opposed to which I liked the most 😀

There is still an earlier post by BRYTT with drivers attached to letters. Is that what BRYTT thinks it is, or is it the actual match? I would think XRK would have not given away the actual match to anyone.

Xrk, I wonder if you should share the results with one or two a people privately in case a driver like the vifa smokes the MA and people claim it's rigged.
