Very nice speaker Freddi. Jessman is an amazing cabinet maker. What would you say the -3dB point is for the bass? I know these are punchy - they load the cone like a nice FLH.
I'm not sure - maybe 75-80 ? looks like F10 might be ~60- ? I measured it sitting on the floor with a mic maybe 20" from the speaker and the mids looked shelved perhaps 8dB after 200Hz - its nice as there's no clobbering peak on the climb - would Eminence's lowpass values of 2mH/10uF (no Zoebel) be working as BSC? - or mainly sitting on the floor ? - it sounds bigger/livelier on bass viola than my new FLH

is a Delta Pro8a's qts too low when driven by an ~ constant voltage amp to get a reasonably flat LF response w/o a dip? - I have SE amps which would flatten response but am more interested in high peak spl at the moment - perhaps for HT fronts

This is a particularly low Qts driver so bass extension is not deep, but the powerful motor allows a very gradual shallow falloff that may get much better with some room gain. Currently, it will provide 91dB of bass (after baffle step losses) which is impressive down to an f3 of 60Hz which should sound very rich and full for most music. I would build it if I had this driver. Make the cabinet scaled by 0.60x in height and depth and 0.47x in width. It is a slightly taller aspect ratio than most K'nators but will provide a nice performance. It has a flat response with no BSC needed.

Yes - foam core panels are 20x30 in so all panels can fit somewhere on a sheet.
There´s a cheap 5mm "Depron" foam available in my country.

Karlson's K12 from the later 1960's
offered as a kit and I believe could be ordered with its port panel blank having instructions to the appropriate amount of holes for a given speaker.
I often call this variant the "3rd K12" but there were more. Karlson experimented with the distributive vent using slits, slots, and holes.
a full width rear shelf returned from K15 and the 1954 K12 "Karlsonette", baffle tilt ~30 degrees. Its interesting to see where the Kimsul damping material, etc. was applied.

wonder if its worth a try to further reduce the scaled K10's size a bit for Beta 10cx? it could lose maybe an inch in height, a bit in width and a bit in depth. 1/2" BB might help but is flexy unless strategically braced. It's fun at its current state.

Do realize that VAS is a bit high (180 liters), and qts (0.23) is on the low side. Xmax is ofcourse 1.0mm, but that should be fairly well controlled in a Karlson anyway? The tempting bit is the sensitivity and the dispersion/off axis response would possibly also be slightly improved by a Karlson?

real Qts on my stamped frame AN10 was around 0.42 and fs ~49 - it played pretty well in a Karlsonator 12 and I've run it in the original 15 inch Karlson ("K15") - they're a bit inherently rough so sound better imo with a K than direct radiator. My AN8's fs have raised nearly a half octave over a few years - I'll have to check the AN10s which are laying out dormant. I may try an AN10 in the little 0.62 scale K15 if the cutout will allow - that would be a bit less than one cubic foot rear chamber - that may work (?)

I would go with Freddi's assessment of AN's suitability in K. Sounds like a go and makes it better even.

I think that's the later (~1960) version of University Sound 6201 coax, Series 200. The same basket was used for that era's "Diffusicone 12"
