The time for starting up the amp increased. Left channel went off as if it was a bad connection and became more frequent. A thump noise came from the speaker.
The amp was taken to a technician who reworked the protection circuit but said the left power stage was bad with 0.8Vdc on the output. I got it back still not working. This was 2 years ago.
Reading this thread I started to look inside the amp and found several really bad e-caps around the different psu for 12/34Vdc and also on the power banks. After this I could at least get on channel running without the protection disconnecting.

I also found the resistors R334/344/434/444 had lifted the traces from the pcb. After I resoldered these the amp could be started again.
