I reposted those posts from elsewhere. I have no access to the missing pictures. I will see if i can find substitutes,

The internal links likely failed when the underlying SW was changed. Those are probably fixable.

Hope so as I'm forced to rely more n' more on researching myself and others to respond to folk's Qs.

I have yet to have a chance to look at them. But if the thread cannot be reached i might have to invoke Jason.

Glueing in progress for one FHXL. The other will follow. Silbury on the background.
I haven’t used that much vinavil, but some leaked when the panels have been pressed together.
I’ll add the last felt when the cabinet will be glued.
Added a complete Ethernet cable inside, only one pair will be used. Do I need to remove the rest of the cable?
I will use an o-ring to close the connectors in the back.
Thanks,
Roberto

One advantage I’ve found for those threaded inserts I’m using to fix the speakers, is that you can simply make a full circle at 45 degrees on the back of the speaker hole without worrying about leaving more wood for wood screws.
Exactly! I use five M5x20 mm for each speaker (six for the MA10.3), burnished as they disappear when you look at the speaker, with allen-key connection to avoid the the screw driver slips and damages the speaker, cilindrial headed for the MA10.3, semispherical for the MA11ms because of the shape of the speaker: they fill better the holes for the screws without exceeding outide the blunt shape.
It is indeed enough an M4, but the M5 fills better the five/six hollows for the bolts, and it’s tighter in the holes.
One step further: internal Ethernet cable connected, it needs only the two 11MS and an o-ring on the rear to seal the speaker connectors.
Tomorrow they will start playing music!

Speakers installed: couldn’t wait.
After dinner I will try them!

First time I ear a pair of fullranges, and I know they need to break in, and I also know they they need to be correctly placed and probably adjusted in stuff.
I’m currently using them paralleled with one single channel of a EL34 push-pull with local feedback to triodize their curves and get a DF around 2.
The FHXL sound astonishingly full. No need for any support on lows.
Midrange is also there (a bit more than expected?), probably I need to set my listening position better than now, as highs are the only ones a bit behind.
Overall, a great speaker since the first minutes.
I’ve listened to Sting, Mesolella, Daft Punk, Toto, Muse, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Snarky Puppy, Michael Landau, Maceo Parker.
I tried David Guetta just to check the versatility of those speakers, and it sounds sublime.
Thanks @planet10 @Scottmoose for these marvellous speakers, can’t wait to optimise the full chain.
