Why not ask Edmund 'Laptops and Lederhosen' Stoiber for a grant, Bavaria seems to have more money than the rest of Germany combined.

OK, but it would help if the 'cop' smiley would look more sternly. 😉

If so, you better get ready to swim...

OK, OK, I'll get back to topic.

Victory to you on a technicality I think as, alas, I cannot think of a reply that won't fall foul of the dibbles.

At $18.60 each for the lowest grade, it might be an idea to forego the dacs and just build your own precision current sources.
Current source DAC
I would expect that the chance for succes would be higher when building a complete DIY Current source DAC.

Would something like this be useable for this purpose:

I would have thought not but you best put it to AD1865 and Bernhard.
I use best DAC
WM8768? why not use PCM1792/4? IMHO, Delta-Sigma DAC is not better than R-2R dac in sound quality, although its spec is better.
To Bernhard, using 4 pcm1702 for balance is enough, And to validate if only need to test 38 code for each PCM1702.

Don't like delta-sigma, eh???? Then stay away from the "current-output" '179x series.
Maybe you can find what you want in a local shop...........for local people only..............[joke]
