Ok , so the humming noise is gone and in one channel the sound is clean , the other one has distortion when music is played , either there is some bad contact somewhere or maybe some part is broken. Will test to check out.
Studiomaster 2000E power amp rated at 500W:8ohms, 800W:4ohms and 1000W:2ohms RMS per channel. if want reliable then make this kind of amp for 2 ohm.
is this really 1000w@2ohms🙂
and when you look at the figures more closely you see that the output voltage has collapsed trying to put out the current that a 2r0 resistive test load demanded.
500W into 8r0 is equivalent to 63.2Vac & 7.9Aac
800W into 4r0 is equivalent to 56.6Vac & 14.1Ac (-0.97dBV ref 8r0 loading)
1000W into 2r0 is equivalent to 44.7Vac & 22.4Aac. (-3.0dBV ref 8r0 loading)
The results posted show that this amplifier is not able to properly drive a 2ohm reactive load.
It may be reasonable driving a 4ohms reactive load. But based on those numbers I would be tempted to test it into a 6r0 load and possibly rate it for loads no less than 6ohms.

anyone knows the model number if the relay for the apex h900 protection circuit?
there are many relays but only some will fit maybe one can give me more precise details?
thank you

NJM2068 is better than NE5532 in every way!!!
To everyone- please quit using this horrid sounding 30 year old op amp. The 2068 is better in every way, quieter, lower distortion, less offset and drift, larger output current, lower input bias, faster, and most important of all it sounds FAR better than any 5532 ever thought about.
by the way is tl072 better than ne5532??
