I have not tried.
Because I work with a professional factory amplifiers. But it would be interesting to have an alternative if the some channel burns.
Believe it or not but I have A/B class amplifier DAS Audio E 12,
wit rails supply +/- 120V DC for Mid/Highs speakers, there is no step up voltage like class H.And its not good sounding for Bass speakers..,but it works really well in the mid hi.
I prefer the bass sound with Class H or Class D, This amplifiers In my experience, sounding a stronger and bigger bass.
And of course in this freq range (bass freq. area) do not hear distortion, which are inevitable in H, class G amps. D class in my opinion have other disadvantages, too aggressive play, have a too attenuation of the upper harmonics, where they lose the naturalness. But this another topic... So often we see that active speakers are tweeters (HORNS) powered A/B class amplifier.
Of course in strong systems of the distortion that naturally tolerate.I'll make a few images inside of my factory amps, it's always interesting to see, right?
Apex 900 looks really good!

thank u sir, i was wandering to build this h900 amplifier for my self. so can u pls post all the stuff which help me to build that amplifier
n also the mosfets equilant nos.

irvynejay.
yes but you have to change 2sc5200.2Sa1943 to MJL4282/4302 and ic stabilizer for ne5532...
But better ask mile for sure,,, for me i have to stick on what voltage given to the amp and change 5200/1943 to mjl then higher the amperes of the trapo..
Tony.
if you want more power, then build yourself several amps.....why put all your eggs in one basket....
if your one big amp fails in the middle of a disco dance, then that would be a shame...
otoh, the chances of several amps failing all at once is very slim....
i have received several inquiries about modding amps to use higher rails.....and for me, this is one practice i would like to discourage.....
Yes you right irvynejay better ask mile for sure, but apex where are they?
I have an experience with the chine’s amp, same PCB and parts, but the deferent is the no. of power and increasing the voltage.
Sometimes I change the things to make a stable of 2 ohms, most of the chine’s amp can’t handle 2 ohms load. Any way some people can’t handle of these things because lack of experience may be.
Thank u.....

Sat Shree Akal Aman Khalsa.could you get the method of painting speaker boxes as jbl or eaw if not I can tell you the method with locally available material .call me on my id vedmitraa@gmail.com.or on my mobile 9897621210. I have already told the method to Khalsa audio from ludhiana as they contacted me by phone. Ved mitra Sharma Agra.
check this schematic
how much voltage can the hV take and also for the LV???...
how do we know that the step drive is working???...

HV =150VDC
LV =75VDC

anyone here tried this step drive???...

Yes, several have been tested. I've tested it and works very well.
Measure the voltage at the two fuses. The voltage should stay at 60VDC. If it 120vdc amplifier audio is not switching.

it seems i cant find the said fuses in the step drive schema...
can you please explain further???...

Dear nazridi
1. +/-15V for external use not necessary to connect only connect 18-0-18 AC for protect circuit supply.
2. connect 24 VDC fan
3. amps speaker + o/p connect to 'FROM AMP' side & 'TO OUT' connect direct to speaker + connector. Leave the negative ,it should be connect directly from amps negative.

fuses are output side
you can measure from O/ P transister's collector of amps

Hey Niz, only the positive out of your amp is connected to protection circuit, the negative is directly connected to your negative speaker terminal.
