I'm certainly interested in a wave guide, also have some XL round over bits for a wood version that could be cut into the baffle. The manufactured (plastic) ones are $40 each; maybe that is a good deal compared to a compression driver 😕
I did some quick mods last night and think the xo is working properly.
Mods:
*Doped the cones with a light coat of water-base poly, reallyyyy didn't want to do that, but it did quiet the woofers down. They were a little busy sounding; as expected, stronger base. The dust caps are still off with wood phase plugs.
*Moved the tweeter up a notch with a 1/2 ohm smaller resistor; interesting the dip looks better, but now a peak at 6,600; the level is in the 5db (ish) range.
