But the schematic shows 10K to the upper half grid. Have fun with the son, electrons will be there tomorrow also, no doubt.

Got an IPad to😉 Night at the Museum II, Lego all over the bed, cheese doodles and an Ipad. Could be worse😀. Yes I did some tweaks to Haflers original. Its in the other thread

Watch this at leisure sometime then. Similarities in wave behavior Its to know thy wiggles.😀

Absolutely fantastic guy. Enjoyable and educational to the morning coffee.
Touchy stuff those wiggles. If they don't have their way they pogo dance like Jello Biafra.😀
As a Young and entusiastic punkrocker I once got an answer to a letter from Jello Biafra. Btw the boating took a hike with an increased GNF-resistor.
Punksters were proclaiming the merits of DIY ethos BTW. Nice with the amp, so it had too much NFB for its stomach. Now you can tweak that 0.001 to some nice 10K square. Is it wiggly now for such a square? That congestion in HF could be related if so.
Yes Mr Biafra is a real gentleman and had/have real well grounded ideas behind his whole appearance. I will let the amp play and show if its stable a while. I putted 2k4s instead of 1 k. The sound went firmer, more controlled, less wet and fluffy. I'm not yet sure if that is pro or con to my taste😉
After that some measures
After that some measures
With measurements you will see what that piggyback comp cap needs be. The Rf//comp relation has changed now. You got less NFB now so the signs are contradictory and the devil hides always in the details.
The comp cap is OPT dependant also and I dont have the A-410s in that Hafler constructed the circuit for. I use Z565

Of course its a comp for the total transfer. Surely it takes to measure squares to tune since the OPT is another and the Rfeedback is another.

Yes. Heavy toobster artillery forces are now in trying to guide me on http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/tubes-valves/236527-iso-motorboat.html
Hello. I know it says somewhere in the thread but I cant find it now. Whats the heavyest load the anode follower version can drive? Around 5 k? I would need something to drive 2K8 Z in with a decent amplification.
2.5K min for the cathode follower unity gain one.
No less than 15K for the 15dB gain common cathode one.
No less than 15K for the 15dB gain common cathode one.
With the current setup in the schematic Salas drew, whats the operating point of the 6v6 or plate current? Im sure its in the thread somewhere, just haven't found it yet.
Thanks,
Nick
Thanks,

Did anybody build or listen to a 6V6 triode connected line preamp? I think it may be interesting to build one since I have some NOS. Maybe SRPP.
Later full schematic
Cathode follower version
A recommended parallel regulator
A recommended series regulator
Salas the link for "A recommended series regulator" doesn't work.
Around 22mA depending on tubes brand and vintage.
Cool thanks Salas, the current is what I was needling to know. I'm hoping to build a pre pretty soon. But I'm going to go with the old school approach with lclc supply filter.
has anyone put a tvc on the output of this? I've got one with a inductance of 20H. I've read the inductance doesn't matter since its a reflected load. But I though I'd ask.
Thanks,
Nick
