I have all the resistors, diodes and most of the caps in my inventory, but I am lacking the 1% and 2% caps, the 25 turn pots, the BNC connectors, and the case.
Why not ask each participant what parts they need so we can get a feel for what would be best for a group buy?

sounds fine, as long as 2 or 3 maximum possible configurations are offered (that is if I'm doing the organizing, if someone else is, then just ignore this)
Hmm... I just went to Digikey and they showed 660 LT1007CN8 in stock at $3.63. Where were you looking?

Anyone got a source for LT1230CN? Found one (yes one only!) on Ebay. 6 were available direct from Linear Tech but shipping to UK was pretty expensive for small quantities. The only catalog supplier I've found who have stock is Digikey but they only have the SOIC version (which could be used with an SOIC to DIP adaptor I suppose).
BTW panels arrived today and look good - itching to be populated - thanks Frex 🙂
Cheers

igwt, you are correct, there are only 9 LT1007CN8 left at Linear Technology. If you click on the LT1007CN8#PBF (lead free), there are still several left at $2.42 each.
Where did I come up with the $5.83 price? I think I was looking at the LT1007ACN8 which is higher. Sorry for the confusion.

Arrived back in town to find my boards waiting for me on the kitchen table; nice 🙂
As for sourcing components, I don't have any of them (this is going to be my first real electronics project) so suggestions on where to get some of the more exotic components would be appreciated.
I notice that digikey isn't the one-stop shop for this one's BOM.
If someone wants to do organize the BOM, I'm in. 🙂

sorry, not organize the BOM, organize a GB... though in searching through a bunch of stes like Digikey and Farnell, it doesn't look like a GB would be worth ith

Info for Brits:
Everything is available through either RS components or Farnell UK with the exception of the LT1230. Linear Tech have this part but shipping to the UK is rather expensive for cheap guys like myself. Digikey have an SOIC package and an "Aries" SOIC to DIP adaptor is available from Farnell for about £7.

I'm having a hard time finding the polystyrene capacitors in the US. Neither Mouser and Digikey have these in stock.
Can another type of film cap be substituted for polystryrene in this application?

Hello Gray5596,
You can use others good capacitors like polypropylene or mica.
I recommend first polypropylene which are excellent and reasonably priced.
If you need a better temperature stability of the output frequency, Mica type will be the best, but they are very expensive.
Regards.
And's i'm happy for those have receive their circuit boards. 🙂
I will post soon a new diy project to build a LNA/RMS meter box,
allowing to measure noise level down to microvolt.
Frex.

LCR polystyrene caps listed in BOM are available at Newark (i.e. 47 pF part no 97K0243)
rest of the world: Farnell

thanks for the info.. interesting new project is going on there.. are you also making new ADC boards available?
