2x150W Amp module for sale

FWIW, I modified my 8-ch amp by replacing one of the 2x150W modules with a 2x300W. It was a tight fit. This was to increase the power for the woofers of the LX521-ish speaker I built for my son. That system had two Peerless SLS10" in "W" OB config, which proved not punchy enough for him. I ended up modifying it by pulling the SLS woofers, turning the W frame into a closed box & installing a Dayton RS265HF subwoofer driver w/200Hz LR4 crossover & DSP PEQ below 50Hz. The revised speakers totally kick ***. With heavy bass tracks, the whole 14x22x9' room shakes. My son & his friends can't believe the sheer power, especially in the bass, that these 1.3 cf boxes & the modest looking amp is putting out.

The amp is under the Wiim & miniDSP.

Sealed monopole bass + OB above 200Hz.

Is 5.3 ohms Re speaker impedance OK for these amps when they are bridged?
When bridged, each amplifier sees half of the load.
In your case load for each amp will be 5.3/2=2.65 Ohm
Now, is this 5.3 Ohm the Nominal impedance?
If yes, expect the minimum impedance to be even lower (x0.8 acc IEC-268-5), i.e. 2.12 Ohm
I have tested the 2x150 W modules at 16, 8, 4 and 2.3 Ohm loads (Ohmic loads).
See posts 519 to 525.
Also post 507 for the behavior of the overload indicator

Wow, George, that's a whole lot of data!!

I scanned quickly through it all. Hard to get it all straight, but it looks like output on the 150W version drops as load goes below 4 ohms? And distortion rises. I don't suppose I can assume the 2x300W version behaves exactly the same.

Overload indicator? There's a clipping LED? I had no idea?! Need to examine your post 507...

PS: 5.3 ohms is Re, at DC. I think it's usually the lowest impedance point. The speakers is nominally rated 8 ohms, but it's a sub and won't ever be driven much past 100Hz. I'm looking to bridge 2x300W model to power it.
