Hi Bill

I used to buy all my enclosure from eBay or AliExpress but lately the price of an enclosure usually equals the shipping cost so a $60 enclosure will end up costing you $120...and enclosure with top ventilation are rare but to me it’s essential regardless of the amplifier type.
With the Diyaudio store it’s much better, the enclosure is about the same price, has top ventilation but the shipping is much cheaper, I have no clue how they do it but it’s great 👍

Hi

I have the same question.
Would the FFA001 as shown in the pic with the aluminum base be ok inside a 230mm deep enclosure or is a 280mm deep a better fit?

Could I please have the size of the mounting plate. Nice feature btw.

Thanks
Eric
Hi, Eric
Here are some MECH data for your reference:
FFA001_v3 : LxWxH = 150X90X40
FFA001_I/O : 90X50

For the Al plate, the extra charge is $4.99.

Thanks,Eric

I believe I’ll go with the case Galaxy 2U, 230mm (W) x 280mm (D), thanks guys 👍

At $69 with the 3mm thick front plate you can’t go wrong. $89 with the 10mm front plate is too much for what it is.
I used that $69 Galaxy case for a tpa3255 amplifier I built recently. I was quite happy with it for the price, the biggest drawback is that you can’t get fully ventilated steel covers. If you want fully ventilated covers you have to spend the extra $30 or so.
