A while ago I bought what I believe are original Sanyo 2sa1381/2sc3503. The to-126 package has exposed metal whereas the Fairchild/onsemi parts (ksa/ksc) are in a thicker isolated package. Just an FYI

That sounds correct. The Sanyo 2SC3503 / 2SA1381 have the collector exposed on the back of the device. The OnSemi KSC3503 / KSA1381 are fully encapsulated.
I've updated the first post with those expressing interest.

Good news. I got the boxes in an weighted it with some other TO-126 devices I had in the parts bin. Just under the 8 ounce weight for shipping. Hopefully with enough margin to account for any inaccuracies in my scale (fingers crossed). This will allow for $5 domestic and $20 international shipping.
The KSA1381ESTU order is in with Mouser and showing a ship date of Nov 12th. Placing the 2SC3503E order with Rochester tomorrow.

Just to clarify, its will be NOS Sanyo 2SC3503E, not OnSemi KSC3503E. I wasn't able to locate a reliable source for large quantities of Onsemi KSC3503E.
