I use a mica insulator between the ixcp10m90s and the heatsink, which is connected to the chassis. Be careful, of course, bolting something with high voltage on it to the chassis. And you can measure the resistance between the device and the chassis, to make sure there is no unintended contact.
I use one. Don't think it makes a difference, but didn't compare one versus two. I also use only one VR tube for both channels, on account that the dynamic current variation from the 26 is small.

It's easy enough to try two CCS and two VR tubes and see if you hear/measure a difference. I'm not that picky, that's all.
I think it's very unlikely that you will hear any difference at all. The combination of DN2540 and VR150 is so effective that you can barely hear the difference between rectifiers. I do think a mesh AZ1 sounds a fraction better than an 80, for instance, but a single VR and CCS are a really good filter.
When I had a CCS with cascaded DN2450 and VR150 combination in my preamp. I was suprised to still be able to hear what I did in front of that. (Caps/choke changes). What might work is using a wood drill like this: Short Length Spade Bits - Tools - IRWIN TOOLS
of a large enough diameter so that the noble will fit and start drilling from the other side first. Once the "thin bit" of this drill starts showing up on the other side. Drill the hole from the front. I think getting some coolant like oil with alcohol will help.
Ofcourse these wood drill bit aren't made for aluminium but I'm sure it will work. Ofcourse the drill tip will be pretty useless after that. So buy a cheap one.

Or if you know someone who can mill it for you...like a local workshop that does metalwork...they could mill out a little square for you.
