2007 Maxon Motor Group Buy

luvdunhill, here my own choice of battery for my version 1. I like Panasonic battery. They are very good and last for a long time in UPS application.

Batteries Panasonic, Sealed, Lead-Acid, 12v
Choice 1 LC-R122R2P 2.2AH 177x34x60mm
Choice 2 LC-R123R4P 3.4AH 134x67x60mm
Choice 3 LC-R127R2P 7.2AH 151x65x94mm

By the way, I'm putting together a FAQ document with all the questions that I had about this circuit. It includes a detailled troubleshooting guide, led functions and threshold, battery charger voltages, etc...

It is still under construction. I'll send send it with every PCB.

Hmmm, does the coupling method directions come with the Teres pulley?

No. Teres is selling a complete motor/pulley kit now. I got this from an other users and from experience working with a machinist for a few years and rebuilding big bearings & flywheel assembly.

Normally the pulley hole is the same diameter as the motor shaft, so they cannot fit over each other. I don't have either part, so I cannot be more precise.

excellent! Is it possible to lay these on their side (I'm guessing not).

Can you please include a Bix pulley for me now? <gulp> Sorry to change my order, but you convinced me in your above post.

Got 4 PCB quotations and they are about the same. The best price is from China, but other users said it may be a lot of trouble (really long delivery,etc..) The price in the U$ and Canada is about the same, but if I order from the U$, I may end to pay custom charge extra on top of that. So, I'll get them in Canada.

Price are: 23.55 ea thin plated, and just 26.85$ gold immersion finish.
These prices don't include shipping to me, but include taxes.

For about just 2$ more, I would go for the nice Gold finish.

I may order a few more and have some PCB available for other if they are interested later on.

So let me know "Thin Platted" or "Gold Finish"

PCB Specs:
FR4 material, 1oz copper
Double sided, with top silkscreen (white) and solder mask (green)
Red solder mask, extra 25$
Production time, 1-2 weeks

Any idea where to buy these in Canada? I googled the LC-R123R4P and found it for $36-40 at a couple of places; then found it for $30 at SEP Technologies and was delighted, until I go to the checkout: shipping was $31.75! So I'm still looking...

12v 7Ah SLA batteries power the "exit" signs with emergency lights that you see in office and commercial buildings. Service companies replace these on a regular basis persuant to local safety laws. Around here, they're replaced every two years IIRC. What do they do with all the old batteries? I dunno, but sometimes they're sold at ham radio/electronics swap meets for $2 each. Not a bad price for a two year old battery that's never been used and kept topped up with a trickle charger. One of these has been powering my 'table for about three years now.
