In Birmingham England they had a way of writing phonetically.
A rock band called Slade used it in their naming of songs.
"Look wot u dun." Look what you done.
It was taken up in some schools.

Here is a really sad song about a marriage.

Letters? In English we don't even need the letter C= as it has not sound of its own. Only in combination with H does it serve a real purpose.
Fun thread, seemingly.
Guilty.
Meant as part of that post as a whole, not to be merrily dissected.
Well, what about combination ?Letters? In English we don't even need the letter C= as it has not sound of its own. Only in combination with H does it serve a real purpose.
Of course not. It was a part of the post that was to be taken as a whole and not dissected. I don't think that needs to be explained again.Fun, of course. You will not remove it this time ..
I also don't remove foreign language posts without cause. In fact, I like to add a positive note that you (anyone) is welcome to use another language provided you include an English translation. My modus operandi has not veered from that course in the 16 years I have been doing this. Where have you been all these years as_audio?
Not you, me. I might have said 'guilty as charged' or 'touché' indicating that I was indeed at fault but only so when taken out of context.Guilty - I am .. ?
Note those other two examples. 😉
I have been here - and at home.
Know what you mean.
British people call this a "practical joke".

Uh, not quite there yet my friend as_audio.
British, no
Practical joke, no
Further explanation means taking this off line as the simple explanation has not done the job.

I understand it not being your first language. In fact I applaud you for it being your 4th. You do very well to a point. I wish I had half that ability.
Anyone wanna talk about their wife?

Yes, you don't complaining, we understand. Men don't want women to change - but they do. Women want men to change - but they don't 🙂
"The only time you can change a man is when he's in diapers" -- ascribed to Natalie Wood.
My wife sure has changed. Until I met her she didn't even know who Jimmy Buffett was. Now I hear her singing his songs all the time. Life gets better every day.
She has changed me too. Best thing is, I still like myself.

Talk about their wives on the internet? We are not suicide men, so we all are lucky and happily married. 🙂Anyone wanna talk about their wife?
(I have about 10 years officially, and about 13 +-1 totally).
I can add that my wife is quite smart and wise so she is very positive about my DYI-electronic hobby (despite it takes some portion of my money). She understands it well and she with her mother (my mother-in-law) even gifted me a soldering station I wanted, several years ago.
