2 Sealed vs 1 more powerfull ported sub

I've blown drivers in a sealed enclosure.
I've NEVER blown a driver in a BP4 enclosure due to the basket being in the vented chamber.

That is just because you misused the drivers outside of they're limits.
Nothing wrong with sealed either just as with ported, your design was poorly executed for the amount of power used.

For the same output you need significantly higher excursion.
Also more heat retention in a sealed box.
