I pulled it out of a JBL PRX518s, with an original 2044E woofer in it (1 ohm coil). the replacement Mackenzie recone kit had the flatwound VC wires. the original burnt voicecoil had round VC wires.
The B&C rep suggested what I had been eyeballing at parts-express for weatherproofing, as B&C doesn't sell theirs: Wet Look
