Now to get it all boxed up etc as the side panels are off at the moment, apart from the one where i was sitting/taking pictures so there is a lot of excess light on the screen

Ok since taking these pictures I have improved the light spread and its not actually that green?? it looked white think the bulb was still warming up in this shot

Will try get some decent shots soon as these are washed out

Dark shots are ok, but i would like them a tiny bit brighter hmm
Supose I need to sort the light box distance to get it :smash:

I have more results to post but due to the mess at the moment, i cant get to the usb lead so its will have to wait.

Keystone correction 🙂
Note the knobs on the back
Each one (ignore the middle ones) turns the corner of the frame, so when you turn say the two bottom ones thats correcting the top of the image.

It works but its not great

Hey nick im also doing a 15" diy. This is my first project and you konw when the corners wouldn't focus? How did you fix it. I have a lens triplet and the fresnels from the lumenlab store. I also wanted to ask where you got the condenser and how much was it?

unfocused corners

That is a very impressive projector. This is also one of the best threads on step by step projector assembly. Congratulations on both!

I am not clear on whether you mounted your LCD in between the fresnels or not. If it is mounted either in front or behind the fresnels (i.e. not between them) is it possible that this is responsible for the unfocused corners? I do not know from experience although it makes sense to me that the light has to travel at the most extreme angles to the LCD at the corners thereby resulting in poor image quality. This is just a thought and if anyone knows otherwise please correct me.

🙂

Thanks all 🙂

Well I havent done much on it recently.

My condenser has cracked somehow? but picture quality is not affected at all

Padded tape? do you mean the bit that holds the lcd in? (as thats door insulation :hot: with extra glue)

The lcd is placed inbetween the two fresnels. as for corner to corner focus, i seem to have it almost sorted just the lcd psu is in the way now so I am limited on the top and right hand side focusing, will sort it soon....just like everything else.

I will try get some more pictures up soon. I wanted to get it mounted on the celing today but dont know if that will get done.

The condenser probably cracked because of uneven heating, heard about it before. door insulation huh? 🙂 never would've guessed. Looks like im on my way to home depot soon. Again, just have to say sweet job and your building/design skills are awesome!
