Ok well now you read my mind.

Because I was Hunting down Iconic 612 cabinet and 812/814 plans few month ago. Was another big boy project I wanted to tackle.
Not a build thread but I started a thread looking for plans and any general discussion of the system.
And managed to get very basic drawings/plans started.

And have started cuts and gluing, a yet to be finished 618 Build thread
Im not too hesitant and possibly crazy enough to use motor start caps in
a crossover. And leave them on the top to be seen.

Use the ASC 387X or 386X caps if you want motor runs. They look and sound great.

Think I need to dive in again and work on some wood / plywood plans.
Likely tackle a tweeter option as well.

Well, on that note, younger ears had a different opinion on the JBL comparison.

The Sister and Niblings came over for a birthday and to see the peepers.

Minding that I don't have a level matching solution (but, crap, I just figured out how I can do that): Sister liked the WD-BG over the JBL 25AV. She said the JBL for party (I guess level matching - it was louder) but would prefer the WD-BG for everything else.

Her 17 & 19 yo daughters liked the JBL though.

So a tweeter might be worthwhile.
