HI All,
Can someone give me the TB3 tone control (3 channel) BOM.🙂
see schematic #13,556.
many thanks,
Marco.

Hello, I have to thank you again. The PSU5 works perfectly. I had a defective MPSA42 transistor. I used an 8V2 zener diode with a 2x 30VAC transformer, the source can be regulated from approx. 34 to 47 VDC.

Hello sasa1959,
here are files for apex aa14.
here are prasi´s excellent documents:
Question.
just 2,2µF for C13, C12 ? is for the rail voltage.
Why ?
it is 3,5 pitch and 8mm diameter...so a 100µF/35V can fit
anybody has tested this amp?

Hy again.
here is the schematic..:
AA14 schematic
I guess nobody build this AA14. so my question regarding caps.
because of avoiding some bad influence because of wrong caps - maybe too big capacitance i kindly aks:
C6, C9 could be bigger if they fit in, Audi caps ...right?
C3, C7, C12, C13, are 22µF/25V minimum because of the rail...bigger ok?
Which would you choose?
thanks
chris

Hello group members, how are you? How many watts RMS can the Apex a9 deliver into 4 ohms? And what is its maximum working voltage?

Those are decoupleing caps, you can have any value, say 47uF 50V might also fit there.
I dont visit too often here, so sorry for the late reply.

Looks pretty similar to Evens Audio Speaker Protector PT-230A .View attachment 1217676i found this protection pcb in old box but i dont have top parts layout....pls help me if anybody recognise this pcb please post its top parts layout...
Thank you
No tested yet
How much bias recommend as A class amplifier .A40
CFA amplifier with advance output stage.
I am getting only 14 vrms @4r from my ax14 with two pair output transistors while using a 26 0 26 ( supposed to be 5 A ) transformer . is it normal ? what should be the transformer spec to get 80 to 120w or higher wattage without compromising safety and stability?
You will need a 35-40 Vac (dual or center tap) transformer. Will get you about 50-55 Vdc and provide close to 100 watts at 8- ohm. If you are asking about 4-ohm load, then step down to a 30-35 Vac toroidal. You are currently getting about 45% efficiency from your PSU, may need to increase capacitance or most likely go to a 7-10A transformer for that current load.
Wow, there is a lot here. I'm looking to make an amp for a pair of Apogee Stages, which can take a max of 20v and 50w and they're 3 ohms.
Is there a particular variant of this amp that would suit them?

I would look for the AX14 (2-pr BJTs) or the FH11/12 (2-pr mosfet) - with 3-ohm load you will need 2-pr, even with low voltage. Assuming 60% efficiency, the AX-14 should provide right at 50w, with the voltage drop of mosfets, the FH11/12 will likely provide closer to 40w at your 3-ohm load. I have built both and the mosfet has better low-end, but also a warmer midrange. IMO, I would go with the AX14 since there are proven easy to find PCBs and IMO easier to build and fault find if you have an issue. YMMV
AX14 it is! Are there any preferred PCB houses I can go too that might already have the PCB on file?
Here you can order a pcb Apex-14:

And here you can order Apex-17. Also a good amplifier.
