don't know
should I be worried about it ?
I was just interested to hear if there would be other reasons for choosing diode type, other than simple power specs
and besides, paying 50 cents more or less for diode won't ruin my budget

come to think of it after building so many amps,
i never seen any of those diodes fail at all...
so i never worried about them....
i have even built amps without those diodes....

The 1n540x is much bigger and requires much bigger through holes for mounting.
I also fit 1n4003 across the first decoupling caps (after fuses, if fitted). This protects against accidental mis-wiring of the PSU cabling (it turns on the light bulb, or blows the close rated mains fuse).
These four 2cent, (1.5p) diodes are life savers.

for the 2SC5200/2SA1943 driver stage, I suppose Fairchild devices will be ok
due to the almost 100% non inductive construction, a power thick film appears attractive for the 1R emitter resistor
and not too costly either
but is it ok for this position ?

Any of them would be OK.

How did you arrive at this conclusion?..........................due to the 100% non inductive construction,...............
it's thread crap, but I suppose you can find small amounts of induction almost everywhere
now corrected to ... almost 100% non inductive construction

Is that heatsink enough for 1000W class AB?

forced air cooling 😉
possible only with the protection curcuit shutting down if fan fails or amp is overloaded
or maybe the pink panther color is something secret 😛
forced air cooling 😉
I know, but this heatsink even small with forced cooling too.

Yes, the protection will help to avoid the failure resulted by the overheating. However the amplifier will stop, and this is not a good solution for professional application.
overload detector for 1000 watt AB CLASS
Hello
greetings can anyone share overload and low impedance detector for this amp cabinets are ready supply pcb has clip dc protect temprature shutdown
filter caps would be 15000 uf 4 caps only wish if overload detector circuit can be added
warm regards

... amplifier will stop, and this is not a good solution for professional application.
wouldn't testing and knowing your gear help avoid that ?
but are anyone running amps at full blast clipping ? 😱

The maximum dissipation of the class AB amplifier, is at the 33% of the maximum output power, and not at the clipping....
Sajti
Worst case power dissipation is when driving a reactive load, not when driving a test resistor.
.... solution for professional application.
I expect professional application means active crossovers and multiple amps ?

No, that means, that You make money with the amplifier.
