looking good andrew use TL071 instead of 72 then 84v rails is too thin and give allowance little gap to each power transistor

Re: post #4 - That's the one that oscillated like a son of a..... I retrofitted the pcb to take pnp's in a fit of rage, dropped in MJ15016, and worked perfectly. Still works.

If someone can get it working with same sex, more power to them. It might be less troublesome with mosfets - don't know, never tried it.
