Here is a picture of 2 pre-production samples being tested.

Concept of the new boards is similar to the original.
Here are the preliminary specifications:

• Board size 68x36mm
• USB-C input connector
• Max input voltage is 15V
• USB PD support (5V/12V/15V)
• 3 connectors for low voltage output (total load current 1A). Default output voltage is 5.5V which is suited for most SOT-23 LDOs. Output voltage can alternatively be set to 5V or 3.3V with a jumper.
• 2 connectors for dual high voltage output (+/-). Default voltage is +/-15V with total available load current of 350mA+350mA when input voltage is 9V or more. Output voltage can be tuned by changing 4 1206 sized resistors. Top board in picture has +/-24V output which has been tested to work with at least 200mA+200mA load current. Even higher output voltages are possible (up to +/-35V) but with lower available current.
• Noise performance is same or better than in original.

Board can be mounted either with standoffs (corner holes are in 10mm raster) or for panel mounting Keystone 616 mounting bracket can be used (https://www.mouser.fi/ProductDetail/Keystone-Electronics/616?qs=TMDrOSIpnUcl1d/TSUe7rw==).

Looks like the mounting will be perpendicular to the rear panel, as opposed to parallel in the original SS, so we lose the built-in screening from the ground plane? Do you suggest the new SS be mounted in a sub-chassis or walled off?

The board can be mounted vertically next to a side panel or horizontally upside down so that component side is facing side or bottom panel. Connectors and pin headers can be mounted on either side. Also there are pads for right-angled connectors for slim fitting. This is a 4-layer board with multiple GND layers so screening should not be an issue.
