More funny business. Now after couple hours, it stops making music. This time, LEDs on, it is still on, bias and offset normal, both channels at same time stopped sound.

Wait a min, streamer is updating nevermind. Back in business, more volume...this amp is driving the XSD speaks (4 ohm) just fine. Not quite the bass as XA 252.

I'm driving the more difficult speaker pair now fairly hard for some while and nothing is out of place, they are doing a spectacular job. F5m and Aleph J not quite enough beans other than lower volumes.

also worth remembering ...... SL OS, usual FW format PSU (rails 24Vdc nominally, effectively 22V5dc from 18Vac secondaries); 1A8-ish Iq
result is 25W@8R, fully A Classssss
logically 50W@4R, but 40W of that is A Classssss, then you have !KlunK!
usual amps, having source/emiter degeneration are usually acting in way that A Classssss in 4R is 50% of A Classss in 8R, so 12W5
go figure
I'm not obsessed with A Class per se, but facts above are saying another interesting thing - up to 40W (@4R) output parts are acting in parallel, so Rout is not going to double

I'm sure you could whip one up easy enough! It is a very nice amp, most exceptional amp in fact. Folks, you need one of these!

I am a fan of square law output stages! I answered my question about sound of XA 252, " is it the OS or the pucks?" Most spooky is square law OS, pucks provide Iron grip on woofers. Let's see, I have boards for M25 about here somewhere.

XA252 and PoP are both wonderful amps - there really is something special about Square Law OS.
