3 of these exist now, or are under construction. They sound like ***. but get very loud and uncomfortable

Yes, Im increasingly noticing all kinds of annoying ‘sound’ in a lot of my high order qw junk too. The ‘waterfall stands out at 3 x Fb and all sorts of funk I wish I could interpretWell, it looks surely nice from the predicted response but that ignores the group delay and decay. And I can promise you, that will be horrible.

Car audio?
With or without low pass filter?Yes, Im increasingly noticing all kinds of annoying ‘sound’ in a lot of my high order qw junk too
They need very precise dsp to pluck out the resonances and then a steep crossover…. But then it neutered so much of the punch/impact if not careful.
its like supercharging a TL, but it’s rather excessive up to the second Resonace and always seems to overdamp the Fb
I’m guessing tapped horn (single path resonators l) sound much ‘better’ ?

BANDPASS RULES!
When examining and comparing electrical impedance charts, the Range tool can be used to make it easier to see subtle differences in results.
Chart Range set to Autoscale (default):
Chart Range set to Zoom:
Chart Range set to 10 ohms:
- Home
- Loudspeakers
- Subwoofers
- An idea: A T-line with both ends open
