Again read my response #3, put this "TUBE" as my subject and did not receive any response. But perhaps I simply had bad luck then...If you put the word TUBE first in the subject line in all capitals it helps John weed out emails.
I ordered software from him weeks ago. I received confirmation. Never received the software or a download link. Multiple follow-up emails went unreplied. I think I must dispute the PayPal charge now as no software and no replies. Any suggestions?
as others have suggest, put tubes in the subject line. Or maybe try glassware.
Beyond the ability to get him on the phone, not much else that I know of except the avenue you propose. In the least, a PayPal dispute would be an attention grabber not that it would be nice to resolve your issue without such measures.

I did that just this morning (TUBE in the subject) in one more follow up email - before requesting a PayPal dispute.
good luck. John's a good guy but very busy. Hope it gets resolved positively (i.e. the software gets delivered).
Im certainly not questioning if he’s a good guy. But if you are selling product, and have charged and received payment, but fail to deliver or communicate. Its a problem. Its not ok.
not saying it isn't. Wishing you good luck that the matter is resolved in a manner that either gets you the software or your money back.
Pretty sure the software is a download by default, unless you select a CD instead.

Even so, his backlog may take a few days to get to it. Hiring drones would only raise the prices.
The last quarter is always the busiest of the year, and no doubt he's been totally swamped.
Just give him a break, it's a one man business. If the transaction went through, you'll get your stuff.
But watch the spam folder if it's a download.

only if they send the link. And yes, I checked my SPAM folder. And they have not send download links. I've sent 4 emails since 12/12/2023. I've haven't received even a single reply. I notified them by email yesterday if they didn't reply I would open a PayPal dispute. So I have. I understand that art an business don't go hand in hand. But if you are "in business" you need to reply to customers in a reasonable amount of time. That is just business.Pretty sure the software is a download by default, unless you select a CD instead.

John hasn’t answered any email I sent him for the past year.
If something is in stock, it ships.
But getting an email response is clearly difficult.
(Yes, I know the “TUBES” protocol.)

Well…I know how this is going to sound, but why not try mailing a letter?
1. The order confirmation email I received specifically states to send an email if you don’t receive the link. I sent both direct email and I sent messages using the contact form on the site. No replies at all.
2. I am an international customer. International post is slow and unreliable.
3. This is the 21st century. Almost all business and communication is conducted electronically because it is faster and more reliable.
Its much easier to solve it by requesting a refund from PayPal. Its not worth exhausting every known communication method - especially when I used the one he specified (email).
I understand. I just saw the >>USA<< flag and figured differently. I get a kick out of the Chinese companies who offer a 100% return policy. Same difference.
John replied just now by email - in response to the PayPal dispute I initiated. Its unfortunate this is the only way to get a reply. But in fairness to him, I want to clarify that he did finally reply.
