Asynchronous I2S FIFO project, an ultimate weapon to fight the jitter

Hello Ian.
Question: Will any of these spdif connections work ? In the MCHstreamer mixer
it looks like there is no need for "spdif in" to get "spdif out".
From the manual, By default, the MCHStreamer uses its internal clock source (in spdif).
Hi Dahlberg,

It will be up to your spdif signals. If the S/PDIF signals are synchronized with BCLK (SCK) and can be sampled by it (lower than half of the BCLK frequency), than you have no problem to use the two channels to buffer them.
Please measure your S/PDIF signal first and let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Ian

Is it possible to use this setup with changes like: the pro version of the StationPi, and the Receiver Pi Pro II.
With your 9038 double Dac as a Hat ?

regards,
Leo

Definitely you can. ReceiverPi Pro II was designed that way. And StationPi Pro has more room to upgrade, just a little bit more expensive then the StationPi SMT。

Please see this post which is exactly what you want.

I plan to install the Amanero combo to use my stack as USB DDC also.
My setup:
StationPI PRO
RPI4
FIFOPI Q7 (SC-Pure x2)
Transmitter PI PRO

Questions:
How to switch between RPI input and Amanero? Is there any other solution, aside using the StationPi Pro touch screen display or manually open/close J14 on StationPI PRO? Any solution allowing remote control?
Will the 4D Systems controller work without a receiver board (only with the Amanero board)?

Thank you for the fast reply. I read the Monitor PI PRO manual and the only point where Amanero is mentioned is in an example with ReceiverPi DDC "(5). ReceiverPi DDC with Amanero USB (optional)".
Did you test it without ReceiverPI DDC? If yes, how is the MonitorPI PRO connected so that it can control switchover from USB to RPI?

@BogdanS

Please see this post, use MonitorPi Pro as StationPi Pro controller, I believe it answers your question.

You can not use only one 5V. Have to use two.

But It's possible to use two UcConditioner5V

Please see this diagram for reference.

OPA861 power
Hi @iancanada, in the schema of the above connections, you draw connections from both +-V and Kelvin sense outputs to UcConditioner. Is this recommended even if the connection is very short (UcConditioner stacked on top of LinearPi)?

I know Ian says they are good but not really necessary. There is no lie in that obviously. BUT....I would highly recommend them even for super short runs. I ran mine without for a long time, then one day was bored and connected them. Yes, very nice difference and more than worth the slight additional bit of effort.

Hi Iancanada: I'm playing ian fifopi Ma but the i2s input led is not lit, the sound still plays normally. So is there any problem? Please help me explain, thank you!

Hello,
I do use an Rpi4 with StationPi, Fifopi, Reclocker and Hdmi out to my Buffalo DAC to Preamplifier. Everything works fine.
Now I would like to build a similar standalone solution (compact) for Headphones (Audeze LC2 70 Ohms). Again a RPi (4o or 5?) as Roon bridge, a DAC and output board (which) to Headphones with volume control.
Which way to go?

Thank you
Branko

I have a good news.

MonitorPi Pro can also be used as StationPi Pro controller.
MonitorPi Pro is so powerful. This could be another important feature. That's really great.

How to make it?
1. Install a ReceiverPi Pro II into StationPi Pro
2. Short pin3 and pin7 of StationPi Pro J14 by a jumper wire
3. Connect the control cable from J6 of the MonitorPi Pro to the J13 of ReceiverPi Pro II
4. MonitorPi Pro can be installed to the front panel through a GPIO extender to the non-isolated GPIO of a FifoPi.

In this case, MonitorPi Pro becomes an integrated control center. No longer need the tough screen controller.

Can a MonitorPi Pro also be used as StationPi Pro controller with an HdmiPi Pro instead of a TransporterPi? If yes, what are the required connnections?
