A tibute to the ACA & the ACA mini?

It seems that he does not want a Class A amp (he also want it very small) otherwise with a powerful (linear) power supply 😉 there would also be Hiraga diy with its 8w (not so small in size, though).
However, I understand the choice about a non-classA, because, especially these days with current energy costs to have an amp that warms up (and consumes) like an oven is not exactly the best green way nowadays.
Even if, being so few watts, perhaps one could still do, who knows.
He has to find a kind of right alchemy in his choice, becoming interesting...

Small? Who's going to assemble that? And who bathes every day?
You're going to need to ask somebody nicely to turn this old unappreciated mosfet 'AB' amp of Papa's into a small surface mount devices board, so you can dial in how much or how little class A you want. But then, one winter you turn up the bias a bit, and it sounds a tiny bit sweeter, and in a while you start making excuses for not turning it back down again in the summer, and then Papa has you trapped in his class A cult.

I seem to be do something wrong - please be more clear so that I can adjust my behaviour!?

Aaaa, now I see - I'm posting in the Pass territory - OK, I get it. Didn't catch that - sorry! Understand now that when I asked for a design "here", it didn't mean to all of Diyaudio but a ZEN.... it's all clear now - and I get it... I will withdraw.... like Blackadder....

So what was the thread idea really - why/how could the Rekkr be a tribute to a Pass ACA/_mini power amp?

Well the title had a question mark... any takers? I'm curios ;-D

If my post was interpreted as critical, please know that it was not intended as such. I would be the first person to post something that is poorly researched or in the wrong place and I am fully subscribed to the philosophy of `if in doubt, ask'. Questioning is the basis of all research after all; the initial premise being to try to disprove existing thinking.

My post was asking whether the general solid state forum might yield a more useful response.

Or failing that, a post here:

There are plenty of small headphone amps on DIYAudio that fulfill a similar niche to stuff offered by Schiit, but in my opinion, with regards an amplifier to drive speakers, the RACAM from Neal Brock which is an inspired reformatting of the original Amp Camp Amp, comes closest:

full kits are available.

Absolutely not. I thank you - it was your post that helped me understand why I found most answers so strange 🙂 I didn't take proper notice of the sub-forum. I thought I was in Solid State 🙂

Thanks for your references - will check them out.
