Possible, mine is 16 X 13 X 3 custom built. The height is good, 3".OK, thanks. I might give a go with these then. What size of chassis did you use? Would be a 12x10x3 big enough for mounting them inside?
Perfect, thanks. I will double check the layout with the exact footprint.Possible, mine is 16 X 13 X 3 custom built. The height is good, 3".
The Toroidy TTG-EL84SE (around £65 from TME before shipping and tax) with 5k primary will probably work best for the 6L6GC. This transformer is rated for ~150 ma primary current, so do not let the EL84 reference discourage you. I have not used this particular SE transformer, but friends achieved fine results at 20 watts with the Toroidy TTG-KT88SE transformers (3K primary) in sweep tube SEs (Tubelabs’ UNSET).I live in the UK so Edcor is not an option for me unfortunately. I already emailed them and was told that they cannot ship here. TME might be good though. I am planning to use 6L6GC tubes first. Thanks

"We would like to inform that due to Brexit, registration for individual customers from the United Kingdom has been temporarily suspended." by TME
😭
😭
Blimey!
I suggest that you contact the people at TME by email or phone, and enquire about selling you some transformers. I hope it is online ordering only that is still a Brexit casualty.

As per the latest they only sell to business customers in the UK. So probably it's best to look for a local source.I suggest that you contact the people at TME by email or phone, and enquire about selling you some transformers. I hope it is online ordering only that is still a Brexit casualty.
Primary Windings seems to be a good option. Could someone just confirm if these transformers can be used please:

My only concern with this is that the filament windings are not exactly what George recommended - main filament only up to 4A not 5A and the rectifier filament is 6.3V not 5V. I don't mind if the B+ will be closer to 400V than 450V.

I think this OT might be a replacement of the 125ESE what wdecho advised earlier.
Thanks
Thanks stenak, but they don't ship to the UK.Check Don Audio in Germany
I decided to give a go to the Amp Maker 15W OT from Primary Windings. They are very similar to the 125ESE, but 3K primary.
Can you guys see any issue with the OT's mounted 45° rotated? I am just wondering if it might cause any additional interference with the power transformer?
If mounted vertically, the fixing bolts would be under the PCB, very close to B+ which makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.
Thanks
