Thanks! That helps a lot!Hi Canon-Fodder 😎
I would start by connecting hole 1 and hole 9 to PE. ... [troubleshoot ground loops if required] ... George
You are welcome.
I forgot to mention that if hole 9 is connected to PE through anti-parallel diodes//resistor//capacitor, then holes 5,6 shouldn't be connected directly to PE as this would short circuit the anti-parallel diodes//resistor//capacitor.

Thanks George and Cannon -Fodder for the discussion. I read George and it sounded pretty iffy for me, but i just wanted to make sure that i understood. Yes, all open devives with main in then have the intrensicak danger of electrocution by direct contact. What bothers me is the possibility of a bad Design where the mains ac are leaking in the DC area.
Latest safety regulations call for a two steps protection, a) the external case b) a secondary physical Barrier, either a sub case or lay all the Mains on the bottom layer of the board so you cannot accidentally hurt yourself unless you remove access this section. I understand that an open ac/DC board will never achieve that without some extra effort.

I'm retrofitting one FFA001 V3 to an old HK300B (basket case for those cap couple fans) boy this boards are fun to play with... they sound very good.
Can't wait for the mono versions
What are you guys doing with yours?

I think the 700W @ 8ohm bridge mono output may come first~
Have the PP samples now, and ready for test 🙂

Thanks,Eric
Sorry Eric, I have been massively occupied with something else. Sounds good, I'll send you a pm
Thanks and regards

Finally found some time and a chassis to enclose the amp properly. I have wired up the standby switch out of the board so to that the cables do not get it the way. The blue led indicator is also wired out with to the front panel so that its status is visually accessible at the front panel.

As highlighted by a few members, this power amp has high gain and I am using the volume control of my dac to reduce the gain to my preamp to feed this power amp. The fact is this power amp has enough gain and does not need any preamp.
Has anyone installed a volume control at the input of this power amp so that it can be used without a preamp when there is no adjustment available on the dac?

Clean and tidy install Zoom, nicely done👍🏻Finally found some time and a chassis to enclose the amp properly. Where did you get the case, the bananas, the current filter and the cables?

I will buy them.
The filter you have seems to be a bit larger and maybe better.
I will check.
And the speakers cables, you get them with the module or you bought them?
Last question, is it difficult to mount the module to the case?
Thanks you very much.
The amp will come with the speaker cable with a female connector to plug in to the male pin connector on the board. However it's length is not sufficient for my chassis layout. Hence I removed the connectors on the amp board and solder my belden 9497 speaker cables directly into the board.Yes.

Mounting into the chassis, wiring it up, drilling holes for the board, connectors , shifted components ie. Switch, led etc didn't take me more than three hours. Piece of cake.
I also saw that you have a power connector and an on/off switch. The speaker binding posts :

Thank you again.

I cannot find them.
I hope you will do a tutorial.
It can be great to help many people that would want to make them a good amplifier.
The power connector comes with the chassis purchase. The on/off switch originally sits on the amp I/O board. I removed the original switch and used my own switch. Eric posted a list of compatible switch to use somewhere in the thread. The way to connect it, is simply to do a pin to pin connection with the original switch that comes with the I/O board.I also saw that you have a power connector and an on/off switch.
Where did you get them?

No, the belden cables are bought from a Belden authorised retailer locally. Actually there isn't really much of a tutorial needed. Eric's module already come completed. It is just plug and play. Hardware mounting, installation and fixture varies from one to another and it is not anything to make the amp functional. One don't even need to shift the switch and led off the board. It is just my personal preference to do it in accordance to my operation. The speaker cables you bought them from Aliexpress?

Unfortunately, I cannot find Belden retailer here.
Is there a cable that you can advise to buy at Aliexpress for the speakers?
And does the box came with the screws and mounting pieces to hold the board?
Hi zoom777. I have a similar case. I was thinking of doing holes for the RCA jacks just like you did. What size did you have to cut so there's clearance for the plug? Thanks.
In this thread, someone mentioned about 16ga cables from Ghent Audio with the proper connectors for the AC and speakers. Please look for it.Thank you very much for you kind help.
