Here is a well known burn in device.

Why do you need the audiodharma Cable Cooker™?

Do you want to quit playing the same CD over-and-over?
Do you want to hear greater clarity, more nuance and fine detail in the music?
Do you want to hear more high-frequency information, together with deeper, more tuneful bass?
Do you want to experience a more dimensional soundstage, with greater dynamic content?

Stupid nonsense.

What if you happen to be on the wrong side of the genius/pigeon divide? Is it still funny? Or maybe it could be taken as very disrespectful?
Well, like everything, that can also be put to test.
Just make an average of Sageness vs. Idiocy and nonsense in posts, easy to check because they are on public display on this Forum, and decide who´s the Chess Player and who´s the Pigeon.

Every Power conditioner I have ever tried or assembled (not that many) slug dynamics with the benefit of reduction in some noise induced artefacts (sounds calmer smoother, cleaner) BUT overall I always went back to straight into the wall
Many people suggest that this is just mostly the case for Amps
You can improve things with a filter if you put the filter before your digital stuff like SMPS (i guess this mostly reduces noise on the unfiltered Amps in this case)
tho i didnt had the reduced dynamics expierence with Ifi`s AC Purifier but the sound got just purer/cleaner, i actually bought a second one for this reason and it made about 50% of the difference of the first one, my guess would be that a 3th one isnt really worth it since it probably just improves by 25% of the first one, overall the change is quite small but its there

It would be useful if everyone posting about their experiences with power conditioners and cords would provide some information about their location when the observations were made. It seems to me that observations made in a high-rise apartment in a city center might have more problematic power than a rural single-family house.

For example, my location is rural, single-family house, about 5 miles from nearest city center with a population of about 20,000. So, I do not expect to have a noisy power line. I would be interested to hear other thoughts on this theory.
i live at a small town (like 200 people) 2-3KM away of the more populated "city" and i can "clearly" hear improvements (in my case with the Ifi AC Purifier so far)

Worst power that I ever had was so far up a mountain that I was close to being last on the line. I suppose all the well pumps and other electrical devices in such area did not help. Voltage was often on the high end. I bought two Tripplite 1800 products and they went a little crazy back and forth with the switching from one secondary to another. Must have been right at the sensing point. In those circumstances stereo wasn't very listenable.

I was hoping that some of the posters who experience a change in audio quality when swapping power cables,
might of uploaded before and after audio samples (done properly) so that we could use one of the freely available audio null testers to see what differences are...

Great idea afa, here is a video that has three different power cords and playing the same songs. Could you use this for your test?

One has to be very careful in producing comparison files. They have to be gain matched to a fine degree, and start/stop at the same points.

I would not trust anything posted on YouTube to be produced with the proper attention to detail and lacking expectation bias in it's production.
