I need the schematics to be able to tell what preamp tubes can be used.2.5A
He rectifier tubes are EZ81 x2
Given a good Power supply is rather important with low power SET tube amps, can you explain why this design utilizes two EZ81 rectifier tubes? Will it be a dual mono two mains transformers on single chassis design?
there are two rectifier tubes and two chokes.. I will disclose more info after the sample is assemcled and runinning..

We received the sample HASHIMOTO trafos
We found that the creeping distance for 230V spec is not wide enough.
It has only 3-4mm. The standard requires 6mm
Therefore, this PT cannot be used in 220-240V environment.
To make it usable in 220-240V environment, the PT needs modification - HASHIMOTO needs to redesign the PT.
But they are not willing to make any change in their products.
In this case the 45 tube amp project will only offer 120V version..
If customers in 220-240V environment are willing to purchase, they must use step down transformer

This is the phototype to test all major components.. The production version is very attractive ...
Mr Fujita is working hard to design this 45 tube amp project

Absolutely gorgeous! I only see one rectifier socket, is this a change from two? The power supply and all else looks first rate! This will be a very popular amplifier. With as much work as you have done, might the production timeline be earlier than planned? I sure hope so! I’m very, very excited to purchase this!
would be nice if the chassis were on the larger side to allow for upgrading caps and ample air flow for cooling, after all, cool running electronics will tend to last longerIt is still in planning stage
This will be a very popular amplifier.
- especially if it kicks the Yamamoto A08s and Jeff Korneff 45 to the weeds!
Many ppl excited about the 45 amplifier. What specific speakers do you plan to use? I have the 8900 and find speaker choices limited.
Victor, will the 45 SET amp have the drive to be suitable for using without a preamp, perhaps via a DAC/Server's digital volume control?
Nice...I like the input on making this Amp as wonderful to the cost, plus Digital Volume Control is NOT your friend.yes.. there is a driver tube and volume control... no digital volume control
