where PMC use transmission line designed speakers for mid-range performance
Huh? All good TLs tend to suck away the back wave, so improve the midrange since not as much timesmeared stuff is coming back thru the cone.
I am not enthised by PMCs TLs.

Not your cup of tea then, anything in particular.Huh? All good TLs tend to suck away the back wave, so improve the midrange since not as much timesmeared stuff is coming back thru the cone.

Dave is the person behind www.t-linespeakers.org (along with www.frugal-horn.com www.planet10.com www.frugal-phile.com and also hosts my www.woden-design.com site for which he draws all the plans). So transmission-lines / quarter-wave / horns etc. are very definitely his cup of tea. 😉 He's been a fan since the 1970s. What he means is that the majority of competently designed TLs have little in the way of box colouration in the midband (external effects notwithstanding): being well damped and with a velocity maxima at or near the terminus, it's the nature of the beast. You'll find quite a number of projects on this forum alone that use dedicated midTLs etc. too.

Sorry, you misunderstand me. I was asking his opinion on PMC transmission line, not all TL.

What a nice-looking design, very tempted.
