How many kits are you assembling? Or is that classified information?Completion kit is being assembled as I type.
UPS just picked up 7 boxes filled with completion kits destined for the diyaudio store.
Stay tuned!
Very cool. Do you know the status of the base kits. i.e. the board/FET package? Thanks!
Ha! I'm on it ASAP...Completion kit in hand... It looks like PCB and semis are on the way—Just need a clear set to get them done! (Currently cameras are occupied with another project). Hopefully towards the end of the week....Super fun!
Are these gonna be openly available to the public or there is some sort of sign up sheet happening for those?UPS just picked up 7 boxes filled with completion kits destined for the diyaudio store.

They will be available to the first 100 people who purchase them. I've been playing with mine for the last week. It's currently powering my 15" TAD woofers. I'm amazed by the control this little 5W amp exhibits! and it looks pretty cool all undressed. Haha!
I subsituted a blue LED in keeping with the First Watt decor of my listening room. And yes, I know. I installed my SPDT switch backwards...

I believe anyone with $25 will be able to obtain the "essentials" kit. There are 100 traveling by UPS to the store at this time and no shortage of additional kis.Are these gonna be openly available to the public or there is some sort of sign up sheet happening for those?

DC offset question.
On my unit (almost ACA clone board), when I turn the bias switch on, DC offset jumps to 5.6V and then slowly falls down to about 20mV over the next few minutes. When I turn the bias switch off, offset jumps again (to just over -5V) before again settling down over the next few minutes.
Are these jumps expected? If not, what should I look at? Thanks!
