Dear JC Fardo,
There is no limit to the length of one step.
It is said that the effect is greater with more steps, but my verification shows that about 80 cm per step is sufficient.
The photo shows AMP-SP with 8 steps at 6 meters.
Inside the box is 4 steps at 46 cm.
For 2.0-2.5m, I think 3 to 4 steps are enough.

The above written 8-step ladder cable is the original construction.
The official ladder cable does not have the processing in the green frame.

Hello, dear Nandappe!
Greetings to Hitachinaka!
Which coaxial cable in which dinension/ conductor cross-section in mm, do you use for the speakers inner cabling and the speaker cables?
Kind regards and have a nice week

Great work, that ladder technique sounds super interesting. Is it a similar concept to AudioQuests DBS where they run a charge on the shield later?
Dear Vermouth,
Unlike DBS (Dielectric Bias System), it does not use a power supply to ground the ladder cable.

Dear nandappe,Dear Vermouth,

What are the advantages to use ladder cable?
Is it conceptually similar though? By keeping a signal over the shield it eliminates microphone effects? Is is psuedo balanced? Just trying to crasp how it conceptually works.
Hello, do you have the cabinet design drawings of Maop 11?I have installed MAOP7 on TQWT.
MAOP7 and TangBand W4-1879 are the best of 4 inch full range, both are very wonderful.
Thanks
Wenlin

Dear LeifB60,
Please see the developer URL for the general effect of the ladder cable.

The biggest effect I feel is that "the audible distortion is small when playing at high volume in the fullrange driver".

Hello Cindra,Dear nandappe,
I noticed that you use DDVP-10 box for number of 4" drivers. Do you change anything in box design or stuffing for different drives? Can this box or your TWTD be used with CHP70?
Thx

"Hi there,
You'll find that the MA CHP-70s are at the very least equivalent to the Holey Baskets and probably much better with the lower frequencies.
I've been listening to mine for 11 years now and am still very satisfied indeed.
Cheers"
Here in germany it is an very underestimated speaker! But I think it's like a modern Coral Holey Basket for a very wide range of applications like the ML - Voigt pipe of our dear nandappe and even suitable in an open baffle like the "Telefunken" open baffle to be seen here:

the Holey Baskets
Biggest issue with these is that the surround dope hardens up and makes the druver into a dedicated midTweeter. I have not yet found a way to fix that,
Best box we ever put it in was Aiko.

HiDave ,
thx, I know about the SSS holey basket problem - so a "modern" MA CHP 70 Gen. 2 is the better choice!
Cheers

CHP70.2 has what Mark tried to get the “vintage" top end punters were asking for.
The result is a 10dB shelf down above 5kHz with a rise just before the plunge (CHBW70 has the same response but the shelf is 5dB deeper).
Some are fine with this but most miss the top. I have a set i am matching with ERT26 in a more typical cone+dome box.
The CHP70 (1st one) and its brother, the EL70, are, IMO, much better balanced with more bass potential. One does loose sensitivity to get there. All the ones i had were fully treated, from people’s response to these, stock ones may suffer a bit from different performance up top (compliants of both not enuff and too much).
The drivers where the vintage top end was done really well are the A6/10p, both increasingly difficult to obtain. A7p would have been nice with the same voicing but they failed on that (takes some work and lots of break0-in to minimize issues with a “ringing" top.

I'm glad seeing W4-1879 in this enclosure. I'm really impatient to find in U/T a video (if you find time to do it)🤓DDVP-10-ML
