Locally here the feed mills prepare chicken feed from corn meal, Soya meal, molasses, vitamin supplements and minor cereals like pearl millet.
Fish meal may be used in other parts of the country, though I doubt it.
There is a culinary tradition of adding dry fish to lentils as a garnish during cooking.
There is even a shop here that sells the dried fish by species, those are added to curries.
Food for thought...

Be yourself for:
Those who matter don't mind and
Those who mind don't matter.

Dogs are eternally lovable because they wag their tails instead of their tongues.
And always grateful for anything we give them.....Dogs are eternally lovable because they wag their tails instead of their tongues.

My lovely dog was happy eating fried fish the other day... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coregonus_albula
Once dogs start eating “people food” they start counter surfing. Any time your back is turned. And once that genie is out if the bottle it never goes back in - so if there is anything breakable on the kitchen counter you better just get it off. And when you’re trying to microwave your breakfast they circle like vultures licking the floor - and get stepped on or cause you to take a spill on the kitchen floor. If they stay used to “dog food” they are less likely to pick up those habits.
I've never known a dog who did not like fish. Cats, on the other hand, I've known a few, just land creatures for them.My lovely dog was happy eating fried fish the other day... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coregonus_albula

Never had a dog take anything from table or counter, but don't let your food-holding hand drop to your side while you are standing there talking!Once dogs start eating “people food” they start counter surfing. When you have a cat that associates toast with tuna fish and/or bacon the association sticks. Even when the toast comes out black. Had one sit there and beg for burnt toast. Here, kitty kitty kitty - get your BURNT TOAST! And she ate it. With no tuna or bacon in sight.I've never known a dog who did not like fish. We always knew we could not get a refrigerator with an ice dispenser on the front. The dogs would be self serving and there would even be a pile of ice on the floor to roll on.
Hint: do not buy a refrigerator with an automatic ice maker. We always knew we could not get a refrigerator with an ice dispenser on the front. The dogs would be self serving and there would even be a pile of ice on the floor to roll on.
Use old school - cube trays like the old days.
Because EVERYbody that I know that has bought those auto-icemakers have had issues/freezups/mechanical trouble/leaks and floods.
They might sound tempting and convenient, but consider my warning.
I once had that problem.
It's just water under the fridge now.

Mine is still working fine after ten years.
And like Galu said, if it breaks, I'll just have to cross that fridge when I get to it.
