I live in a compact 620 square foot 1 bedroom flat and was thinking volumetrically as the room in question is two stories tall so a 20’ * 30’ is close to 2 times my situation. Acoustically it opens to hallways and other rooms so the space is even bigger.

Yes the new clock replaced the clock in Ian’s MCFIFO so reclocking the MCstreamer.
 
Just finished my oven. I simply glued the PTC elements and regulator to the crystal with thermal glue and insulated them with a styrofoam housing.
Nice improvement:)

Is the '' bubble gum '' a soft material and will it keep its properties for a decade to come?
Once i used a similar looking material in a non audio application and a few months later it turned hard and brittle..
Probably when used in an almost airtight surrounding and no UV light properties wont change much.

The chewing gum is Teroson RB IX. This is permanently elastic and I have been using it for vibration dampening for several years.
I can highly recommend it for the clockboard, it has a greater influence on the sound than e.g. the oven or power supply.
Just tap on the clock pcb and listen to the vibrations. Not a good environment for a quartz ...
A good alternative is to place the clock outside of the listening room.
