And what did we buy today?

While on the subject of guitars, after trying to jump-start my 12 string playing, I mostly ended up with "trigger finger" on the central digit of my left hand as a consequence of that effort. Today I bought myself a cure - 80% chance of eliminating it the administer said. He said by six weeks you'll get a notice from us - just cancel if gone.

In six weeks - if gone - it'll be like the toothache I dont have, as far as me remembering it. I hope I notice the notification in time!

>What is this treatment?

>I OTOH have Viking Finger aka Dupuytren. Mild at present but watching.

It was a Cortisone shot of some kind. The guy said I could do a few PT appointments, but quoted a 20% success rate. The other alternate he presented was an operation, which we found ridiculous at this point. It wasnt that painful - they sprayed this numbing stuff all up and down the finger, which mostly took effect as I was driving out of the parking lot..

He also pointed out a small Dupuytren lump about 1" away from the joint on my palm - and a second smaller one (I didnt even realize it was that - but wondered) on my right hand. He handed me a brochure about it, still in the car. What was it Mick Jagger said in that mother's little helper song? Oh yeah...

Lucky buy from a wonderful (real) store. Select Test in Montreal.

One HP 8904A with option 001. that allows me to modulate a signal as an FM MPX modulated signal, which can then be applied to a mono FM generator to create stereo signals.

Martin made sure I got the options needed and a good, clean unit, then gave me a very good price on it. He turned out to be a very friendly, helpful person and I will do business with him again.

Not often I will call out a store, but in this case where they have gone so far to make sure I was happy, they deserve it.

I bought a cheap short scale electric bass; easier on the hands.

Wanted the black nylon tape wound strings on it, so I paid a bit more to get them from the same place. Asked via message if they could put them on for me - nope. No one bright enough to notice "it's the same guy, purchased on the same day; guitar and matching strings" and simply throw them in the same box - now I have to wait for delivery from a different carrier, who is, of course, late...

New Weber charcoal grill to fill in while I wait on parts for my gas grill (6-18 business days!)

Wife said we can’t do the 4th without a grill and told me to go get charcoal unit as our old one died last year. So whats a feller to do when the boss says go buy a new grill? You go get the nicest one at the hardware store! :D

Thx Bigun, it’s been less then a year since the old one gave up the ghost so I should be able to bounce back ok…….although the first use (last night) was to feel out the cooking temps vs air vent settings and I gotta say this is the first charcoal grill I’ve ever had that you could actually shut down a active bed of coals! I had it on 1/4 throttle and waited 15min to flip the chicken and to my surprise they were not burnt at all……had to crank her up to half throttle!

Chris, that’s why I’m waiting on parts for the gas grill…….you can buy a good running car for what they want for a good gas grill!
