Amp Camp Pre+Headphone Amp - ACP+

I gave you all/enough numbers of IRF which you can put in, with hardly any difference in sound and, yes, no matching needed

regarding J113 - buy them more, then make little jig and fiddle with resistors

in fact, plenty of other JFets can be used in that position, taking care of pinout (just in case) and taking care that brain isn't left in washing machine

Plenty? I have an extra J74, but that might be either impossible or a bit too luxurious.

Chede used some nice small culinders soldered in the resistor pads on his WLS, so that he could easily swap resistors. Gotta ask him where he got those.

Andy, since the j113 is relatively inexpensive, I suggest you just get a bunch. Papa has sprinkled them in a number of recent projects so it doesn't hurt to have some in stock.

One interesting thing is that the j113 has a spec'ed min Idss of 2mA though I've never actually seen one that low. (In fact, all mine are over 10mA). So just pick one with at least 10mA Idss and adjust R14 to suit.

Wilco! Was planning just that, maybe order 20-ish. Have to make a matching jig, I teally teally ned to do that. With my my new fancy bench PSU that is the next step, an exciting one. Prolly will need some guidance for that, but best read up first.

Thanks!!
