It is probably easier to unravel the mysteries of outer space than those of inner space.
Besides, I would much prefer to keep my inner self to myself!

It's good to know that there are actually followers like you floating around out there! 😎I don't often post. Still, this universe thread is right up my alley.
The thing which puzzles the heck out of me is this whole business of we're all just zooming around in "empty" space.
I think I busted the bridge on me glasses, hope they don't fall down. You don't want my glasses to fall down now, do ya?😀It is probably easier to unravel the mysteries of outer space than those of inner space.

Just my INTJ nature, but it just annoys the heck out of me when people don't apply a space between the period and the emoji...
Looks much better, doesn't it? 😎

Sometimes I do. It's a context distinction..a matter of immediacy. 🙂Just my INTJ nature, but it just annoys the heck out of me when people don't apply a space between the period and the emoji...

The MBTI was developed to help people match up with the right careers, and in certain job classes, to make sure the wrong type of personalities were not hired into roles they did not suite.
If you do a professionally administered MBTI and get the result, it will help you understand yourself better. In most cases the light bulb will go on and it will be ‘ah, that’s why I am like this, like that, enjoy doing x,y,z etc.’
You are not pigeonholed, but located on a spectrum that best describes your personality.
Not much store should be placed in online tests. I had mine done as part of career dev at Philips back in the day, and then on my MBA course about 3 or 4 yrs apart. Both tests came back with the same result.
(The biggest mistake people make is about what introversion and extroversion mean - introverts have low stimulus thresholds and get their energy and self actualization from within, extroverts get their energy and actualization from external sources and have high stimulus thresholds. I get excited about 5 ppm/C resistors and opamps, my extrovert neighbor has to jump out of a plane on the end of a parachute to feel excited 😉 )

Okay, well there is a disconnect somewhere. I had mine established about 30 years ago and it declared I'm vocationally best suited to "piano tuner" as I prefer isolation as INTP. Hogwash! Introversion was thus defined. I interact with different people very regularly and look forward to it as part of my business; this opposed to just the opposite in the same field earlier on as an employee when I hardly ever came into contact with others during the course of the day. I like alone time but nothing extraordinary. I won't be the one swinging from the chandelier or dancing with a lampshade on my head at a party but I'll be at the party. "I go just like the rest, I like my sugar sweet".(The biggest mistake people make is about what introversion and extroversion mean -
INxx does not mean you don’t like company and I don’t think anywhere you will find that definition of introversion in the MBTI. It simply means you are self energized and yes, when you’ve had enough, you get recharged by spending time alone thinking or reading. That is a completely different kettle of fish to a recluse. INxx certainly look forward to partying and having a good time.
(Einstein was INxx (gleamed from reading his letters, his behavior etc) and was noted for being the life and soul of a party when he was younger, and quite the ladies man)
Anyway, back to physics . . .

When I joined Standard Telephones and Cables (STC) at Greenwich, all the 10 or so graduates got tested and given very different jobs. Some were hands on engineers, some more administrative and some computer operators. I got systems engineering on the submarine cables. Testing and comissioning, design and documentation. Surprised me how they decided what people would be good at.

Great fun at the BBC today! 🙂
"How well do you know your Greek Mythology"?
A shoo-in I thought... 7/7 for sure!

But NO! I got Pandora and the Labours of Hercules wrong. 5/7. TBH, I question the Pandora verdict. I was sure it was a box. 😕

I managed 7/7 in "The super-hard Solar System quiz", which I admit to tackling with a degree of trepidation!Great fun at the BBC today! 🙂

No, but at least the adverts are quick with the least pain. 🙂Can you watch the Beeb programmes in their advert free format, Pete ?
I got 6/7 : https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zbcf8xs
So you are a better Man than me, Gunga Din. 😱
Got Number 2 wrong. What the Heck is a Plutoid? 😀

Ceres orbits between Mars and Jupiter. The other two planetoids are in orbits beyond that of Pluto and are therefore referred to as ‘Plutoids’

I wouldn’t call it ‘hard’ 😉
When they start asking what the outer layer of Jupiter’s core is comprised of, or the density of the Sun’s out later I would certainly stumble . . .
I should think not.I wouldn’t call it ‘hard’ 😉
Bitesize is the BBC's free online study support resource for school-age pupils after all! 😉
Hence my trepidation that I would get it wrong.
