hello all,
I have made a crc psu with 35 amp rectifier with a provision for heatsink for high power amps or class A amps. it also has a primary side soft start with NTC.
pcb can be mounted on 10x10mm grid holed mounting plate.
Let me know if any one has any suggestions.

very very nice! i hope it will work out just fine! i would just do it with 2sa 2sc transistors so we would not need to twist transistors legs-not having BC550 560 to buy... anyway, great work! it will be a remarkable sight to see A40 and P40 alongside each other in a same enclosure. and I am sure I will not miss it made by you! great greetings from Belgrade to Zagreb! it is always nice to see your handmade devices! Salute!
For Apex power amp PCB's, is 1oz finished copper amount sufficient?
I have built the AX-14 and FH11 both with 1oz at 60v rails with no issues for a couple years.
Bridge mode
Can you post the schematic with the connections for bridge please?
I have also few A33 and i want to make 2 mono blocks in bridge
Thank you!
Hello friends.
I present to you the most muscular A40.
It took 2 years of work.

what is the maximum voltage I can safely run these boards at ? I have 45V AC Toroidal (approx 60V DC supply), will it be too much?
Thanks in advance

Thanks. I'll go with 1oz.

Which version exactly? There are 20+ versions in this thread. Ideally you would want 3-pr of outputs or more, if you will use at 4-ohms continuously at high volumes.
I used the AX-14 and FH-11 (both are 2-pr boards) at 60v rails and have had no issue but I run at 8-ohms
Also depends on heatsink size

Clarification
Hi,
THe connections to NTC are not clear. Can you post the schematics also?
Thanks and regards,
Sumesh

Supply Voltage
I use at the moment on A33 +/- 65V and work perfectly with good heat sink
A40 i think will works better because have one extra pair of transistor

Hello Ciprian1984!
Tomorrow I will draw in detail the connection in the bridge.
Keep the following in mind.
The dumping factor in the bridge becomes lower, the power increases.
This is not a problem, because with the A40 the dumping factor is very high, and the reduction is not a problem.
The benefits of bridge are many.
Speaker control is better.
Greetings to Mile and all the Serbian brothers.
I take this opportunity to officially invite you to listen to music.
I'm not far.

Thanks, but if I use a single transistors for VAS many others people will be more happy.
Regards
Or perhaps a Darlington VAS, which should make everyone happy? 🙂
I'm building a NE555 protect circuit, this is what Ive come up with thus far.
But i need advice, I'm currently using the same +15V that is intended for the preamp for powering the protect circuit.
Is there any benefit in using a separate LM7815 for the preamp and separate LM7815 for the protection, but powered from the same bridge?
Ive attached two drawings.
ps. the short circuit detect, dc detect, and ac loss detect all work great.
