Hi Apex
I read so far about 60 pages of this really long thread, I want to ask about transistor equivalents for AX14:
Q1, Q2, Q3 (2N5401): Can I use BC557A (50V 100mA 500mW hfe 110..220) or A1015A (same specs with BC557A)?
Q11 (2SA1837): Can I use MJE15033 (pnp 250V 8A 50W hfe 50)?
Q13 (2SC4793): Can I use MJE15032 (npn 250V 8A 50W hfe 50)?
Thank you

Hi, looking for advice.
Did I implement the short circuit protect correctly in my circuit?
Can someone please link me the DC protect with relay circuit that goes with this short circuit protect circuit.
Thanks for you time
Yes your circuit is correct, use DC protect with NE555.

Yes you can use this transistors.
Thanks, Im looking at a supply board for the main filter caps, +-15V for accessories and pre-amp. and protection for stereo boards.
Would something like this work, any advice is really appreciated.
Or maybe someone has files for something similar. Ill be sending these PCB away to be made at JLCPCB.

Hi Apex
I read so far about 60 pages of this really long thread,

a digest could be helpfull.
For sure!
BTW, isn't C6's polarity wrong in the component layout? (100uf/16V). For example in post #708.

Another AX14P Completed...
Good Day Sir,
Completed my AX14P..Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. Really great full....and thanks to Kandimba for the PCB design....just going to relax this weekend and enjoy the sweet sound coming from my AX14P...cheers😀😀😀

So I'm still busy trying to get this protect right.
Can you guys please comment on if this circuit implementation is correct.
Any help would really be appreciated.

Hello to all,
I am also currently building the AX-14 power amplifier.
I'm still waiting for the circuit boards and then it will start soon.
My Peak Program Meter according to BBC standard is already in the starting blocks.
The PP meter consists of 80 light-emitting diodes with a dynamic range of -50 - +5 dB.
There are many circuits from the AX-14 here in the forum. Is there a final circuit diagram?
I am also looking for the Mosfet version.

Thanks Terry for the files.
Stewin do you have a solution to add AC detect to this circuit.
This is what i came up with, not too elegant though.

you can look at post 10363. Prasi posted the one he used for his layout.
