Hi wesayso, hi xrk971,
it appears we are all pretty much on the same page regarding step functions, that their value occurs when looking at a full range step....and hoping to measure the classic triangular shape 😉
The 'mid driver only' step i posted kinda illustrates why step isn't too valuable i think, especially for tuning only one driver section.
How the heck it can sum with the coax CD sections into a classic triangle-look beats me.....but here's that 'mid driver only' step summed with the CD.

wesayso, thanks for the kind words re my tuning efforts, as well as your continued comments about interpreting measurements.
I'm very much of the same mind, that it is good science to try to be able to discern from measurements, even the small 'subjective' things like DACs, or driver's characteristic sound like Xrk mentions.
Which btw Xrk, i wanted to use the pr310 for their extra x-max, but found i couldn't source them reasonably in the states.
Do you know a good source for faital here in the states, other than PE?
I like TLHP when I fully know what i want and can buy all needed units at once to minimize shipping, but for 1 or 2 trial units shipping kills experimentation.

US SPEAKER Home Page Menu - Speaker Cabinets, Guitar & amp; Bass Amps, upgrades and custom design. The world?s widest choice of speaker parts. ?If you have listened to live music, you have almost certainly listened to Eminence?
Thanks, do they offer better pricing if you call them, or do they offer commercial accounts? Their online listed prices always seem quite high to me...
Good ole Eminence 🙂 I have 8 Lab12's inside 4 Labhorns.
Strongly considered the Deltalite II 2510 for the syn7
Hi Mark100,
I generally get my Faital Pro’s from PE - pretty good selection for what I need. Do they not have the ones you want in stock? I was going to suggest US Speakers next.

PE carries the 10PR320 which is the neo equivalent of the 310.
For that money I'd be tempted to go for this Ciare.
Ciare 10NDH-3 - Ciare 10NDH-3 is a 10 inch lightweight neodymium speaker for all mid-bass speaker systems- Ciare Speakers - Ciare NDH 10-3 10 inch lighweight neodymium speaker for bass guitar speaker systems. Ciare 10NDH-3 10 inch mid-bass speakers a

Thx Ernie, the 10PR320 is actually the driver i meant to have said I wanted.
Neo was a must for the weight reduction, when trying to step up to a stronger motor. PE didn't have any PR320's till now; i see the new listing shows 16 ohm only. Hopefully they will get the rest. Although i'm sure i'll just stick with the pr300s.
That Caire looks very nice. But at 10.1 lbs it would be a deal breaker for me.
The faital pr300 / 320 are 5.5lbs or less, and super important i only have 4.5" height to work with....i was too cute trying to minimize size/volume and didn't leave enough experimentation room.
